Woman pleads guilty to holding some-more than $100,000 in practice …

A North Carolina lady used stolen identities to collect about $130,000 from a Virginia Employment Commission, according to Department of Justice Spokesman Joshua Stueve.

Paula Lane, who also used a name Paula Hipps, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court on Thursday to charges of mail rascal and aggravated temperament theft, Stueve said. Lane, a 47-year-old lady who lived in Corapeake, N.C., was indicted of regulating an stagnation rascal scheme.

In her defence agreement, Lane settled she combined feign companies and reported employees and their salary to a Virginia Employment Commission. The worker identities used in a reports were stolen, and Lane would record stagnation claims regulating those identities, claiming those people were laid off, Stueve said. Lane would afterwards accept payments from a practice commission, possibly by withdraw cards released to people who explain stagnation or throught approach deposition to her bank account.

Investigaors performed a hunt aver for Lane’s home and found handwritten papers with marker information, such as birth dates and amicable confidence numbers, for about 30 people, Stueve said.
