A petition has started to keep a village patrolman who is underneath an employment investigation.
Hanmer Springs proprietor Karen McPhee posted on a Hanmer Springs Notice Board Facebook page on Mar 14 that she had started a petition to keep Senior Constable Darrin Low.
She declined to criticism about a petition when contacted by Stuff .
Low, who was assigned to another military hire in North Canterbury, also declined to comment.
Acting Senior Sergeant of North Canterbury Brendon Strieker said a matter was between “the employer and a employee”.
It is accepted Low is confronting an worker review though military said they will have no serve criticism until a investigation is resolved.
The petition had divided members of a Facebook page.
Some people wanted answers as to because Low had left, while others pronounced he was a “decent bloke” and would pointer a petition regardless.
A police orator pronounced there was no change to a structure of any military positions in North Canterbury.
“The officer is now operative out of another hire and a position in Hanmer is being filled by another staff member, so there is no change to a stream levels of use being supposing to a Hanmer community.”
